Ulu Slim River, Kampung Ulu Slim (Grade I-III) 1 day
Indigenous tribes watch you raft by at Ulu Slim River

A fantastic rafting river that is becoming popular due to its combination of adventure elements; a dirt road transfer, orang asli Semai (the indigenous Semai tribe) villages and its people, the cascading rapids with pristine water and beautiful surroundings. Imagine all the amused little Semai kids waving to you with a big smiles as you paddle by or laughing at your boat flipping over..

There is the Ulu Slim hot spring by your lunch area which has temperatures reaching 104°C,  apparently the hottest in the region. Bring some eggs and a basket!

In the morning at Tanjung Malim where the old North-South highway runs , you can savour a delicious plate of fresh nasi lemak at Kasim Corner or the famous halal  Yik Mun steamed rice buns with various types of fillings. After rafting, you could even visit some historical sites on your own.

What do I get to do?

Spend a great day out with friends and other outdoor enthusiasts getting wet enjoying mother earth's rich splendour.  You can even bring donations to the orang asli villages.

**Visits to Orang Asli Village, homestay, cultural performances or blowpipe exhibitions can be arranged at additional cost. Even mountain trekking or visit to waterfalls can be arranged.

Adventure Rating and Remarks

3.5 - Apart from the combined adventure elements, you will be negotiating rapids here with less stoppage time unlike the other rafting rivers where your guides may have to stop at each rapid to survey the conditions. The rapids here are wilder than Kampar River but not as deep as Selangor River.
