Loh River Whitewater Rafting (TR/LOHR) 2D1N
 Update 2009: The jungle have reclaimed the abandoned logging roads here hence this adventure is no longer available unless the roads are cleared and repaired.

Sungai Loh  Grade II- IV
Located at Hulu Dungu in the state of Terengganu. Approximately  80 minutes from Club Med, Cherating or 60 minutes from Awana Kijal Resort. This river is possibly the second most exciting whitewater run in the peninsular.
The river here is relatively unexploited, leaving you with a engaging nature sights and wildlife sounds. The run is an average 4 to 5 hours covering 12.5km. There are 9 big rapids in Loh River.  The adventure here is fully customised hence early bookings are essential. All equipment and food has to be brought to location.
Suitable for persons 16 years to 60years.

What do I get to do?

Apart from riding throught some wild rapids, you can also view...
First, is the Big Cengal Tree . Possibly the biggest tree in Malaysia with a diameter of 16.35 meters or about 13 persons grasping hand to hand circling the tree.
Second, is the Cemerung Waterfall. The highest waterfall slope with a height of 305 meters. You can actually see the waterfall from miles away.
Lastly, the Kelmin River. A pristine scenic river still untouched.

4 - WILD whitewater rafting combined with several other attractions plus camping! It's gotta be excellent!

Cost:

Rafting  - RM600/pax, Minimum 10pax, Maximum 50pax - ex-Kampung Jongkok Batu, Dungun, Terengganu

Itinerary:
DAY 1    ( Lunch / BBQ Dinner ) ( Camping )

Meet guides at Jerangau and then proceed to Kg Jongkok Batu. Leave on 4WD vehicle and proceed to Sg Loh by 4WD (this transfer will be on rotation basis). Upon arrival, set up camps and light lunch will be served. After lunch, trek to view the Biggest Cengal Tree in Malaysia. The trek is about 3 ½ hrs return.
Return back to campsite in evening and overnight.

DAY 2    ( Breakfast / Snacks on River / Lunch )
Break camp at 0830hrs after breakfast. Allocation of rafting equipments and briefing on white water rafting procedures. The run is about 5 hours. There will be 1 stop for refreshment and swimming around.
Take out will be at the logging pond down river.
Upon arrival, packing and loading of equipments and out for late lunch after which depart to destination of origin.

What do I need to bring/wear?

Change of clothes, towel, insect-repellant, sun-block lotion, toiletries, personal medication, strapped sandals/scuba booties, trekking shoes, socks, snacks, hat, strap for sunglasses or eyeglasses, wear highly breathable clothing, 

Best time to visit
You would need to check with us. Monsoon period between November  until end February might be inappropriate.
