Kiulu Rafting, Grade I-II (SB/KIUR) - 1 day
Kiulu River, located on the northwestern part of Sabah in a small town called Kiulu, is suitable for beginners aged 5 to 65 years old prefering a mild rafting adventure whilst enjoying the picturesque view.
Excursion covers up to 15km, making it the longest white water rafting trip in Borneo. The journey will take about 1 ½ - 2 hours of rafting before reaching the ending point where you will be greeted by a BBQ.
The guides are certified by the New Zealand Canoeing Association.

Enjoy the wilderness and catch a tan whilst paddling a down mild rapids.

Cost:

RM170 per pax - ex-Kota Kinabalu city. Minimum 2pax. *Rate reduces with participants above 4pax.
Add RM25 per pax apply for pick up from hotels outside Kota Kinabalu.

Itinerary:
0830hrs Depart from your hotel in the Kota Kinabalu City and proceed to Kiulu River, located at Tamparuli area. Journey take 1 ½ -2 hours drive.
1000hrs     Arrive at starting point.
Safety Briefing will be given by professional river guide and signing of Liability Release form.
1030hrs     Rafting commences. Excursions takes about 2 hours to the ending point.
1230hrs     Arrive ending point for BBQ Lunch. Rest, relax and change to dry clothes.
1400hrs     Depart for hotel - End Of Services

What does it include?

Return transfer, Rafting equipment, English speaking guide, BBQ Lunch , Insurance and Certificate.

What does it exclude?

Digital photos - a river guide will be taking pictures at the rapids and at the end of the event, you will be shown the  action shots and given a choice to purchase a cdrom full of pictures.

What do I need to bring/wear?

Change of clothes, towel, insect-repellant, pocket money, sun-block lotion,  toiletries, personal medication, Wear quick dry clothing & strapped sandals or scuba booties. If needed, wear eye/sun-glasses sports strap.

We suggest to bring a handheld fan, reading material and drink/snacks for train ride. You may purchase items at Beaufort town. A blanket/jacket for returning bus and train ride. 

Best time to visit
This activity is normally available year round. During monsoon season, floods may occur halting the activity.
